About the Role
A new exciting role opening up to support our dynamic & growing FP&A function, reporting to our amazing Senior FP&A Analyst, getting involved in Budgeting and Forecasting, Month-End reporting etc. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, enabling them to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Additionally, they should have a proven track record of building rapport and fostering strong relationships with senior leadership teams. This includes the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that the interests and concerns of various stakeholders are addressed with professionalism.
What You’ll Do
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts by collaborating with various departments to gather relevant information. Utilise historical data, market trends, and business insights to develop accurate financial projections.
- Month-End Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate month-end financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators, financial trends, and analysis of results. Present findings to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Variance Analysis & Cost Review: Perform in-depth variance analysis of actual financial results against budgets/forecasts and identify key drivers. Collaborate with operational teams to review and analyse cost structures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for optimization.
- Revenue & Margin Analysis: Analyse revenue and margin trends, highlighting areas of growth and potential risk, and providing recommendations to drive profitability
- Commercial Insights: Develop a strong understanding of the company’s business model, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape. Translate financial data into actionable insights that contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Process improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement including & beyond finance and support in implementing best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting (On the pathway to CA/CPA)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and manage relationships with different levels of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling & exposure to BI tools
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Commercial mindset with a demonstrated ability to connect financial analysis to business strategy.
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
