Chemical operator position in the Wet Space Cathode Pilot. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be safety conscious, display attention to detail, have good communication skills and be able to work in a team-based environment.
The successful candidate will safely and efficiently operate equipment in the cathode pilot space. This position is responsible for performing analytical testing, making field and DCS process changes, handling of raw materials, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
What You’ll Do
- Communicate with fellow chemical operators and engineering team members regarding safety, production, quality, and operational issues within the Wet Space Pilot
- Follow operating procedures and verbal instruction to run steady state and batch unit operations. Contribute to development of startup, shutdown, and standard operating procedures
- Issue safe work permits and conduct lock out, tag out of equipment
- Monitor process variables in both the field and control room. Make process changes on the distributed control system to maintain parameters within operating limits
- Ensure quality control through sampling and analytical testing of intermediary and finished product chemical compounds
- Receipt of raw material shipments, handling of drums/containers, bulk loading of liquid and powder components
- Troubleshoot equipment and provide mechanical support during pilot construction phases
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of experience in refinery/chemical processing
- 2+ years of console operation in refinery/chemical processing with preferred experience in Honeywell systems.
- Climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time, including a respirator and safety harness.
- Proficient with computers and use digital management systems to schedule, order, and communicate effectively
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

$24.40 – $65.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
